On Friday evening, January 27th, in San Francisco, respected Buddhist teachers Judy Lief and Norman Fischer will come together to discuss inquiry and questioning on the Buddhist path, in a program called “The Question is the Answer.” On Saturday, January 28th, Lion’s Roar presents “The Manjushri Dialogues: Uncovering Hidden Fixations in our View and Practice,” an innovative all-day program featuring four leading Western Buddhist teachers using debate to surface the hidden assumptions about personal practice and understanding.
Friday evening’s event, “The Question is the Answer,” will take place from 7pm – 9pm at the First Unitarian Church of San Francisco, 1187 Franklin St. This discussion between Norman Fischer, founder and teacher of the Everyday Zen Foundation and former Abbot of the San Francisco Zen Center, and Judy Lief, Vajrayana teacher, writer, and editor will be moderated by Melvin McLeod, Editor-in-Chief of Lion’s Roar and Buddhadharma magazines. “The talk is open to the public and sure to be engaging for students at all levels.” stated McLeod.
