Today the Huffington Post published a story about German-born Buddhist nun Kelsang Wangmo, the first woman and the first Tibetan Buddhist nun to receive the Rime Geshe degree (the equivalent to a Ph.D. in Buddhist philosophy) from the Institute of Buddhist Dialectics (IBD). The Dalai Lama, who started the IBD, supports Kelsang Wangmo and her attainment of the Geshe. Learn more here about Kelsang Wangmo and the Dalai Lama’s comments.
