Jigme K. Norbu, 45, the nephew of the Dalai Lama, was killed yesterday, February 14, at 7:30 p.m. when he was struck by an SUV on State Road A1A some 480 kilometers from St. Augustine, Florida. Norbu was on a Walk for Tibet on a date that marked the 50th anniversary of the failed Tibetan rebellion against Chinese rule and his uncle’s resulting exile from Tibet.
